Welcome to the third edition of Beach Boys SUPER Survivor!

Unlike in past rounds, the point of this poll is not to find the sole survivor. This time around we will be looking to find the TOP THREE TRACKS from each era of the four editions of SUPER Survivor. The 3 winners of each edition will go on to battle in the Beach Boys ULTIMATE SURVIVOR thread.

And now, without further ado…

Vote for your LEAST FAVORITE track!!!

Tally on June 4

Odds ‘n’ Ends III: Breakaway
Sunflower: This Whole World
Surf’s Up: ‘Til I Die
Carl & The Passions: All This Is That
Holland: Trader
15 Big Ones: Just Once In My Life
Love You: I’ll Bet He’s Nice
Odds ‘n’ Ends IV: My Love Lives On
Christmas Album part 2: Morning Christmas

My favorite era of the Beach Boys. This will be tough.

All This Is That gets my vote. It is the most "vanilla" of the bunch for me.

A band called The Beach Boys are mostly going to be a fun in the sun-themed group. And that has, is, and will always be just as it should. There needs to be ONE classic band that isn't a pack of endless "artistic" moan. All people wanna do is make The Beach Boys into another Beatles they are less tired of.
And, for anyone who has actually experienced them, surfing and cars carry PLENTY of emotion and life experience. They can carry as much metaphor as any Van Dyke Parks clever epistle.

Just Once In My Life.

I love the song, but in my book a cover song only has the right to excist if it's better than, or otherwise adds something to the original version. This just doesn't.

Mike's not a Hawthorne boy. The Hawthorne guys stuck together. The Wilson's and I always had a special bond. We felt like we were a team.

The Brianista Prayer

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.
Amen.  ---hypehat

Breakaway

It's got great moments, but I've always felt the whole is less than the sum of its parts... I think Celebrate the News is way better.

IMO opinion Breakaway is great, but the alternate version released IIRC on Hawthorne and Warmth of the Sun is superb, except for the tag.
