Forgive me if this has been covered before, but who is the drummer pictured on the sleeve as it sure does not look like Dennis? There's Bruce, Carl, Al and Mike, in the picture and some chap I do not recognise in the stool. Is 1967 too late for Mark Groseclose? It doesn't look like him anyway. Cheers for any help.

What country is the sleeve from?  You're not talking about the U.S. one, because there's no drummer on the sleeve.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Do not know which country, but it has K23686 on the top left corner and is from a shot of the boys in concert, with usual candy striped shirts and white trousers.

Yep, that's Dennis with a buzz cut. He was similarly shorn during the Lei'd in Hawaii footage from An American Band.

Speaking of, does anyone else agree that the guy in the foreground is Derek Taylor?

7" 45 rpm. The Beach Boys.  Darlin'/Here Today. Capitol K 23 686. Germany 1967.

I have the record and sleeve in my collection and the drummer is definitely Dennis Wilson. No question about it.

And the guy with the yellow shirt and glasses standing in front of the stage kinda looks like Derek Taylor, but I doubt it.

Furthermore, Dennis wasn't listed as missing during any 1967 concerts covered in "The Beach Boys In Concert" book by Ian and Jon.

It's obviously Dennis. How could you mistake that profile?

When you're looking at a grainy image of him less than a centimetre square with a not-Dennis like haircut.... Well, that's my excuse anyway.

And anyway, why back Darlin' with Here Today?

They probably just didn't take the time to record a proper B-side so they chose an album track they thought should have more exposure.

Not all of the 45s had Darlin' b/w Here Today. Some countries, namely Denmark, Greece, Italy and England had Darlin' backed with Country Air.

The obvious answer: Here Today is my favorite BB song and Darlin' is the favorite song of my favorite Smiley Smile board member. Grin

Got it. I liked Mr. Eder too, kinda sad that he doesn't post anymore, though he was made an honored guest. I think he deserves it.
