For those of you who aren't watching the Billboard Music awards, this hasn't happened yet but soon Miley Cyrus is gonna pay tribute to the Beatles  Shocked this should be something

With all due respect...people should pay attention to her why?  So many artists have used The Beatles as a crutch or a kickstand that by this point it's almost completely irrelevant.

It's the Flaming Lips arrangement. She is just guesting on it.

She has been performing with them and vice versa and is on their cover of the Pepper album. I am enjoying her recent work (covering "Hey-ya" as a ballad) and look forward to peoples reactions as she keeps changing and working with people who typically get more respect , a la Lips.

I was watching the Billboard Awards, but then I figured out when she won an award and wasn't there.... that the performance wasn't going to be live but just some thing she did at one of her concerts.

I actually think she's pretty talented.  She doesn't always play to her strengths (she's a pretty good pop songwriter, in my personal opinion) but from time to time she still surprises and puts out something pretty well done.  In general she gets a bad rap.

I wish she would have shut up and let Wayne sing a verse. And no sign of Steven, Michael, or Kliph. WTF???

Kliph isn't in the Flaming Lips anymore.

More's the pity too.

Still, I heard they opened up in the UK a few nights ago playing Clouds Taste Metallic era songs with Steven on Drums and (GASP!) Wayne actually strapping on a guitar to (double GASP!) actually play.

Could take or leave Miley's stage antics; if she dressed like a princess this cover would still be one of the worst ever. Epic fail, in short.
