Out of all of the oldies they did after Endless Summer, Da Doo Ron Ron is a strong contender for being the weakest. I have no idea why the thundering drum fill in the chorus aren't present, it's easily the best part of the original's arrangement and the chorus here sounds naked without it. Probably the most listless Brian Wilson production up to that point.
