Just recently rediscovered this song, after seeing the flyer for the BB's Jones Beach show posted in the main forum. Always loved it as a kid. I can see why BW was inspired by it. Thanks to Joel Koster for his awesome Gold Star Chamber reverb impulse.

I've never heard the song (or really that much of anything from Lovin' Spoonful) but love the cover, which I was fully expecting. Then again, I'm always a sucker for I - III progressions.

I think that's true, Brian used to list Sebsatian as one of his favorite singers/songwriter along with McCartney and a couple others
