Yeah, and the outtakes from it.

Wrinkles was also supposed to be on the album, and though it made it to the final cut, they forgot to put it on the tracklisting or the record Shocked  Cool

Surfer, I think you've hit on something… looking through AGD's sessions listing site, there must be a good number of outtakes in the vault including:

Johnny B. Goode
Little Girl [= Sunshine]
Jamaica Farewell
Stranded In The Jungle
Surfer Suzie
Da Doo Ron Ron
Smokey Places
Boys & Girls
Unknown unreleasd title
Going To The Beach
I'll Always Love You
Why Didn't I Tell You [= Goin' On]
Starbaby
How's About A Little Bit (Of Your Sweet Lovin'?)
Been Way Too Long [instr overdubs]

Pretty much an entire unreleased album right there…

You ought to use AGD's site yourself, along with other existing online resources…

Sounds like it would have been even worse than what they released...

I'm guessing the above listed titles were intended for the M.I.A. Album.

M.I.A.? You must either think of MIU, MIC, or it's me having a brain blockade.

The original plan was to include 'Waiting For The Worms', a Smile-leftover.

"Been Way too Long" and "San Miguel" were both considered for Keepin' the Summer Alive; either track would have helped IMO. "The Lord's Prayer" as well unless I am dreaming.

I think a decent LP could have contained the following tracks:

 1. Keepin' the Summer Alive
 2. Going to the Beach
 3. Santa Ana Winds
 4. Daybreak Over the Ocean
 5. California Feeling
 6. Goin' On
 7. Love Remember Me
 8. Living With A Heartache
 9. Endless Harmony
10.Still I Dream Of It

Roughly speaking, the record has a "California ethos" side and a "heart" side.

10 years of Harmony was a very nice package covering Lost or misc traks from the era.   I think the band was proud of this comp and disappointed with the somewhat cool reception in terms of sales.

Yes, it was a fine summary that made a decent case for The Beach Boys as a valid artistic entity throughout the 70's. Generously selected with rarities, classy graphics, lyrics, album credits, the whole nine yards. Deserved better than #156 but The Beach Boys weren't selling many albums in the early 80's. I got my copy as a record club cutout for a very cheap price in Dec 1983. This comp did much to enhance my appreciation of the band.

An infinitely better album, but I used California Feeling on my LA mix and Still I Dream of It on my MIU mix. Mike had a couple of good solo numbers from that period and I might be tempted to borrow Heaven from Carl's solo. Only a year out, so what the hell.

Just played it again recently. A very good listen, minor complaints - too many songs from MIU, and not enough Dennis. I'd swap Wontcha Come Out Tonight and She's Got Rhythm for Slip on Through and Forever.

Funny, just before I read your post I played She's Got Rhythm, and I had Wontcha Come Out Tonight playing when I started reading it. Those are my two favorite MIU tunes. Both Slip on Through and Forever are great of course.

On She's Got Rhythm, at some points Brian sounds nearly like his old self/voice.
