Trying to determine your favorite song off this album is kind of like selecting your favorite form of terminal cancer.

I actually like this album more than Beach Boys (85).  LOL

I find it hard to believe anyone can like the Beach Boys nadir over one of their most underrated albums at all. Oh well.

You're amazed at that? Hell, I'm amazed at the differences between us all naming these best songs from each album. I would have never imagined this in the past. When I would run into another fan, we would almost agree on everything. My how times have changed. Wink

Can I just vote them all off?

I don't trust anyone who has 'preferences' on this album , i.e. "votes" , but doesn't like Goin' On. I'm looking at you, eric anniversary and Love surround me

?

Never said I didn't like Goin on. I like just about everything the beach boys have released. With these threads, it's just a matter of what I like least in a group of tracks.

Well, that was melodramatic...

some of it's not as funny as the rest, but it all sucks.

Replace funny with awful and I'd agree

the sax solo on SIp is th worst, I wish I could hear the Uk bruce version.

Yes, the UK version of the title track isn't nearly as bad as the US version.

Bear with me folks. We are almost out of the DARK AGES for the Beach Boys.

Quote
Summer in Paradise is the twenty-seventh studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on August 3, 1992 on Brother Records. Produced by Terry Melcher, it has been described as the band's critical and commercial low point.[1] The Beach Boys did not record another album of original material until That's Why God Made the Radio in 2012.
Summer in Paradise was left out of Capitol's Beach Boys re-issue campaign in 2000 and 2001, and is currently out of print.

If the song he sings to you is sung like the STAMOS, he must go. (11)

RemeBUH (rememBUHBUHBUHBUHBUH) voting this one off? (Cool

We need to catch up with rounds #29 and 30 so we are going to begin by VOTING OFF TWO TRACKS per round.

Tally on the May 4th!!!!

Hot Fun in the Summertime
Island Fever
Still Surfin'
Slow Summer Dancin' (One Summer Night)
Strange Things Happen
Lahaina Aloha
Under the Boardwalk
Summer in Paradise

Round#1 - Surfin' April 30
Round#1 - Summer of Love April 30
Round#2 - Forever May 2
Round#2 - Remember (Walking in the Sand) May 2

My least two faves on this one are easy: Under the Boardwalk and Strange Things Happen.

Mike's not a Hawthorne boy. The Hawthorne guys stuck together. The Wilsons and I always had a special bond. We felt like we were a team.

I still say Forever is a more passable remake than these are covers, but I imagine they'll all be gone soon enough.
