Looks like "Somewhere Near Japan" is going to take this...  While it has grown on me over the years, my vote goes to:
"Kokomo" - a track I have enjoyed since first release.

Welcome back to the end of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok  :D ).... and without further ado...

We won't be including the previously released track on side two.

Quote
Still Cruisin' is the twenty-sixth studio album by The Beach Boys, their thirty-fifth official album (counting compilations and live packages), and their last release of the 1980s. It is also the last album of new material released during a brief return to Capitol Records.
Still Cruisin' was left out of Capitol's Beach Boys re-issue campaign in 2000 and 2001, and is currently out of print.

With only 5 votes, Still Cruisin' crashed almost before it left the starting line.

Apparently only 13 smilers know a litle place called KOKOMO.

And with a landslide 22 votes, the winner of the thirty-first round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR IS....

Somewhere Near Japan[/b]

Round#1 - Wipe Out April 19
Round#2 - Make It Big April 21
Round#3 - In My Car April 23
Round#4 - Island Girl April 25
Round#5 - Still Cruisin' April 27
Round#5 - Kokomo April 27

Although short lived, this edition of Survivor was a good one.

BBS#32 starts tomorrow.

Things went surprisingly predictable here (with the exception of the high placing of Kokomo). A mildly interesting round.

Here's how I'd personally rank Still Cruisin' (bar the 3 older songs of course)

07. Wipe Out.
06. Kokomo.
05. Island Girl.
04. In My Car.
03. Somewhere Near Japan.
02. Still Cruisin'.
01. Make It Big.

I think the top two here went the only way they could have gone. Kokomo may have been heard too often by a lot of people but it is still clearly superior to most of the new songs.

The deserving winner won IMO.  Kokomo is probably my number two, followed by In My Car.

SNJ would work better in a 3 minutes or less version.

Anyway, doubt it will break the bottom 5 in Ultimate BB Survivor

I like the single version, it cuts a bit of the fat out and makes the ride a touch more interesting, even if it is a bit heavier on the '80s cheese.
