Here it goes . . .

At the end of the stereo version of "What Is A Young Girl Made Of?" (Track #11 on Lost & Found) there is a brief conversation I transcribed below:

Voice #1: "I, I started laughing, I did."

Voice #2: "You did laugh though, you didn't have to."

Without prejudicing your thoughts with my amateur opinion, who do you think is speaking?

Thanks in advance for weighing in with your thoughts and opinions!

I've always heard it as:

"I started to laugh, but I didn't."

"You did laugh though, you di...."  (the tape cuts off at this point)

Andrew, Gertie J, and Shane

Thank you for taking the time to weigh in with your thoughts.  I greatly appreciate it.

I thought it was Carl first and then Brian, in a somewhat reprimanding, big brother  tone.

One of the many things I love about this board -- it's like having access to a 24-hour Beach Boys' Research Librarian/Archivist  ;Dn

Thanks again!

Chris

I think they are a legitimate promotional item for "Somewhere Near Japan," but have no definitive proof, so who knows.

I like oddball promo items and these are my second pair.  Of course, if they're not legit, some guy in San Francisco with a cheap printer is cleaning up.

Maybe I'll just invite some people over for carry-out.  Grin

Wow, 2 pairs!  Makes them more legit; guess I should have give you a run for the $$...

That's what I thought, too -- a second, identical pair seemed to make them a little more legit.

Weird item, though. Wonder who they sent them to? Disc jockeys, I guess.  Didn't help. Should have sent the Happy Family with cashews, instead   Undecided

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.
