Welcome Smilers to the fourth Odds 'N' Ends Beach Boys survivor!

Before we begin I need to get a feel for what songs to include. As last time we are only including songs that were either:

a) previously unreleased OFFICIAL tracks
b) tracks not included on an album (ie It's A Beautiful Day)

Live recordings or booted material not yet officially released (ie Life is For the Living) are not included.

1971-1979 IV (11)

Barnyard Blues
Our Team
Barbara
My Love Lives On
Still I Dream Of It
It’s Over Now
California Feelin’ (MIC 1978 version)
Sherry She Needs Me (MIC)
Why
You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ (MIC)
Sea Cruise
It’s A Beautiful Day
All Alone
Brian's Back

Smilers have 48 hours to submit track names for consideration.

I will post the official track list on Thursday and voting will begin at that time.

We're talking 1978 California Feelin' and not 1974, right?

For consideration:

All Alone - recorded 1978
Goin' to the Beach - mostly recorded 1979

Correct. I'll specify that now.

All Alone... hmm... If others pipe in the affirmative, why not?

Goin' to the Beach will be on Odds n Ends V.  3D

OK, I figured that might be in your master plan!

I forgot "All Alone" was on the POB reissue.  It was, however, issued on Endless Harmony first, so it seems as much a BB track as "Barbara."  Not that I have a strong feeling about it either way.

I'll add All Alone. I had forgotten that it was released on EH first.

Released as singles, but not until 1987 and 1984 respectively, I believe.

Doh! You're right. That is a live recording. Editing that one out.

Didn't the studio version accidentally appear on some early versions of Holland?  Though I don't know if I would consider that a "released" track...

Edit:  early German copies, according to AGD's site:  http://www.esquarterly.com/bellagio/unreleased.html

I would assume somewhat contemporaneously to release date.  Not in the 1971-79 timerange.

Wasn't that from the Paley sessions? I don't think that was from the 70's, which is all we are concerned about at the moment.

How about Lady and Sound of Free?

Good catch. Although technically they are DW solo tracks but I think we possibly opened a can of worms letting Barbara and All Alone etc.. to be included... Hmmmm
