One fan who's always thrilled with each new McCartney album or road trek, is old friend and former chart competitor, Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson. Wilson makes it a point to catch McCartney whenever he can: "I think they're great. I saw a couple of his concerts, they were fantastic. Yeah, I liked 'Blackbird singing in the dead of night,' and I like them all -- all his songs."
Blackbird would be cool but I hope BW's covering She's Leaving Home… just feels right for him. |

Seems like it could be really interesting with the sort of people that are going to be doing stuff for this album. I haven't been able to find any track listing that gives details on who sings what, which is a bummer. I'm kind of fascinated to see what Bob Dylan plans to sing. Blackbird would be cool but I hope BW's covering She's Leaving Home… just feels right for him.
I think that would be really cool and a pretty good fit for Brian. It's always been one of my favorite songs of Paul's. |
