"The Art of Paul McCartney", 32 tracks. Some interesting participants. No word yet on what song Brian sings. http://www.wmmr.com/music/news/story.aspx?ID=2150112

One fan who's always thrilled with each new McCartney album or road trek, is old friend and former chart competitor, Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson. Wilson makes it a point to catch McCartney whenever he can: "I think they're great. I saw a couple of his concerts, they were fantastic. Yeah, I liked 'Blackbird singing in the dead of night,' and I like them all -- all his songs."
Blackbird would be cool but I hope BW's covering She's Leaving Home… just feels right for him.

Seems like it could be really interesting with the sort of people that are going to be doing stuff for this album. I haven't been able to find any track listing that gives details on who sings what, which is a bummer. I'm kind of fascinated to see what Bob Dylan plans to sing. Blackbird would be cool but I hope BW's covering She's Leaving Home… just feels right for him.
I think that would be really cool and a pretty good fit for Brian. It's always been one of my favorite songs of Paul's.

What is particularly satisfying is that Brian Wilson is the second singer cited after Dylan and one whose opinion they think is worth quoting.

He should do "She's Leaving Home". Isn't that the song that Macca played in the studio in L.A. for Brian and Marilyn?

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

That's how I remember it being told too… and why it sprang to mind. Done right of could be sublime BW moment… plus he could segue into Where Is She?!

Any word on which tune Wilson's covering?

I'm kind of fascinated to see what Bob Dylan plans to sing.
According to the article, it's "For No One."

I wrote that article.
It's Howie's rock news feed. Highly recommended as he regularly has tidbits on the BBs. This is the third this week I think. Some good stuff on California Girls.

I'd like him to do something off McCartney II in full Love You mode. Not going to happen of course.

Reportedly, "Things We Said Today". (According to various fans who have done some digging.)

I believe Brian said fairly recently that "Let It Be" was his favorite Beatles tune. I could see him pulling that one off.
