I have nothing more to add to this thread, the winner is the winner. Good Timin' is still a great song, and it's definitely in the top 3 of this album.

And it has come to my attention that there are still Denny songs on the upcoming Odds and Ends round, so thankfully It's Not Too Late! (Pun intended)

There are indeed...oh and Still I Dream of It  Evil
We have a winner for that round already..... Wink

This is fucking disgraceful. Dennis is rolling around in his grave because of these results.

 LOL LOL LOL

No way this is not trolling.

It's not. It is disgraceful that Dennis hasn't won a single Survivor round. Though there's still the next Odds and Ends round... we'll see what happens then.
Dennis' best BBs stuff was unreleased or used on his solo album, enough said.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Maybe there'll be a POB round.

Took a listen to Still I Dream Of It recently and was not impressed one bit. At best it's a "Meh".

Oh, and It's Over Now is Awful.

I would bet that both Still I Dream of It and It's Over Now to both make the final 3. Still I Dream is my absolute fave of the list thus far assembled.

POB and Bambù round please!

I disagree. The survivor rounds are focused on Beach Boys albums, not Solo albums. It's too late to start with them, as Bruce Johnston's and David Marks's solo albums predate Dennis's. If you're going to do one, you may as well do them all.

Honestly I'd just be happy (As well as Retrokid, Disney Boy and all other Dennis fans around here) if a proper Dennis song wins at least once.

Here's the trend so far:
#1. Surfin' Safari (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#2. Surfin' USA (Brian Wilson/Chuck Berry)
#3. In My Room (Brian Wilson/Gary Usher)
#4. Ballad Of Ole' Betsy (Brian Wilson/Roger Christian)
#5. Don't Worry Baby (Brian Wilson/Roger Christian)
#6. I Get Around (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#7. Please Let Me Wonder (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#8. California Girls (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#9. There's No Other (Like My Baby) (Phil Spector/Leroy Bates)
#10. God Only Knows (Brian Wilson/Tony Asher)
#11. Surf's Up (Brian Wilson/Van Dyke Parks)
#12. Heroes And Villains (Brian Wilson/Van Dyke Parks)
#13. Little Saint Nick (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#14. Darlin' (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#15. Busy Doin' Nothin' (Brian Wilson)
#16. Time To Get Alone (Brian Wilson)
#17. I Do (Brian Wilson)
#18. The Little Girl I Once Knew (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)
#19. Breakaway (Brian Wilson/Murry Wilson)
#20. This Whole World (Brian Wilson)
#21. 'Til I Die (Brian Wilson)
#22. All This Is That (Al Jardine/Carl Wilson/Mike Love)
#23. The Trader (Carl Wilson/Jack Rieley)
#24. Just Once In My Life (Gerry Goffin/Carole King/Phil Spector)
#25. I'll Bet He's Nice (Brian Wilson)
#26. My Diane (Brian Wilson)
#27. Good Timin' (Brian Wilson/Carl Wilson)
#28. Goin' On (Brian Wilson/Mike Love)

Aside from Bruce, Dennis is the only member of the classic line-up of the Beach Boys to not have a song win a Survivor round. Considering his talent, this is plain sad.

Well, you see, you could put up a lot of people against Brian Wilson (even people more talented than Dennis), and Brian would still come out on top.
The guy is just one of the most musically talented people to ever cut a record. That's no mark against Dennis, it's just how it is.

Why is it at all sad that Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys best and most prolific songwriter, has taken most of the wins? Remember, this is an OPINION BASED POLL to see what songs majority of hardcore fans like. Every song listed as a winner is AMAZING!

This doesn't mean you can't listen to the music anymore, or Dennis is any less good, so why moan about it so much?

I think you are taking this a tad seriously.

And your concern for Dennis is nice but as the great Mike Love said, `Save it, he`s not here!`.  Wink

People love Dennis`s music. But they are allowed to love the other band members` music as well.

Majority of the people on here much prefer Brian's music. Why can't you just accept that?

It's really not that big of a deal.

I'm also glad Brian's taking the lion's share. He deserves it, but is it too much for Denny to win just once?

I honestly think that most of the songs by Dennis that are very worthy of winning were either released on POB or went unreleased.

Songs like River Song, Carry Me Home, Thoughts of You, and My Love Lives On could easily be winners if they were released on a BB's album.

My Love Lives On is a excellent song, it has seriously grown on me. And it will be on the upcoming Odds And Ends round. Who knows, it might win

Wow, so those are all the winners from the survivor threads, eh?  That's really cool.  B-tchin' album right there.

Question -- there's a few that are singles only, right?  What's the deal with those?  How'd they make the cut?
