For those who use Windows Media Player to listen to music, you can see how many times you've played a song (I'm sure other programs can show play count). So I thought it would be fun to see which songs people listen to most.

Here's Mine:
26- Sound Of Free
24- You Need A Mess Of Help To Stand Alone
22- California Saga- Big Sur
   - Slip On Through (That's my name!)
20- California Saga- The Beaks Of Eagles
   - Good Time
18- I Was Made To Love Her
17- Aren't You Glad
   - Got To Know The Woman
   - Don't Go Near The Water
16- It's About Time
   - All I Wanna Do
   - Forever

Post your rankings.

This thread is for actual Music Player Program rankings not your favourites or guesses.

Cottonfields, This Whole World and Surf's Up are my top three (and by Cottonfields I mean the Brian version).

By the way, am I the only one who has Our Team in his/Her top 10?

Itunes says it's the 20/20 version of Time to Get Alone. Would've thought God Only Knows. I only have this laptop for 2 years though so not really accurate.

Well the point of this thread is about actual rankings according to music players not people's favourites.

Ok, I guess I'm not understanding the relevance of listening to Beach Boys music on the computer when there are sooooo many other ways to enjoy it.  (Vinyl, cds, in the car, on the home theater system, etc.)

Well, this isn't wholly accurate since I play vinyl mostly, so my digital collection is weighted by drumming songs, digital only tracks and TWGMTR [pre Vinyl release]. Hence why my list is dominated by TWGMTR at the top. I also tend to play albums rather than single tracks but regardless, here is the list:

[because too lazy to type, have a monitor full]

Yeah, my last.fm [which is since october - post TWGMTR attack but catching the end of MIC] tops off with:

1) It's Over Now (Alternate Mix) - 24
2) The Little Girl I Once Knew - 22
3) Stevie - 22
4) Sherry She Needs Me (1965 Track With 1976 Vocal) - 21
5) Good Vibrations - 17

And rather worryingly...

6) HEY LITTLE TOMBOY - 13

You can see the evidence here: http://www.last.fm/user/FJFP/library/music/The+Beach+Boys

But I can say before I got my new phone, Mona topped the list!

Strange.

Could this strangeness be accounted for by having fewer versions of these songs than, say, your actual favorite tracks?  I know I only have two versions of "All Summer Long" while I have probably 5+ versions of some of my favorites, like "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "Surf's Up".  You pickin' up what I'm throwin' down?

Well first off I'll start by saying I've only had this computer since like early 2012, so if I were to go back to when I started using iTunes, it surely would be a lot different. But anyways, out of my top 10 most played songs Beach Boys songs, here's the list, where they ranked and then how many plays in parenthesis.

1 "Child Is Father Of The Man" (186)
2 "Do You Like Worms (Roll Plymouth Rock" (155)
3 "I'm In Great Shape" (147)
4 "Where Is She?" (136)
5 "Good Timin'" (130)
6 "California Feelin'" (Original Demo) (127)
7 "California Feelin'" (125)
8 "Spring Vacation" (102)
9 "Isn't It Time" (99)
10 "From There To Back Again" (90)
