The votes for Let's Put Our Hearts Together surprises me. That's my favorite song on the album.

Voting for Love is a Woman.

Shocked I'm surprised too--I love the duet and I find the chord progression interesting.

I'm surprised also. It's definitely in my top three for this album.
I've been listening to it incessantly lately.

Let's Put Our Hearts Together should've been saved for the debut of Brian's Matchpoint voice.

Lyrics are amazing too. Definitely some of Brian's best.

I vote Love is a Woman

I think if Brian only played this on SNL and left it off the album, I still wouldn't be intrigued about it if it remained unreleased as a studio cut...as opposed to the intrigue I get with other unreleased tunes: Lazy Lizzie, That Special Feeling, Rollin Up to Heaven, First Love, Carry Me Home, etc.

Welcome back to a new round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok  :D ).... and without further ado...

Quote
Love You (also known as The Beach Boys Love You) is the twenty-first studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on April 11, 1977. Originally conceived as a Brian Wilson solo album entitled Brian Loves You, the album is almost entirely written and performed by Wilson, with the other band members mainly serving as additional lead vocalists.
Penned during a process of mental and drug rehabilitation for Wilson, Love You has been praised by critics for the album's honest, unpretentious lyrics, and has been described as a portrait into Brian Wilson's sense of self in 1977. Heavily reliant on 1970s analog synthesizers, the album has been recognised as an idiosyncratic and creative oddity in the Beach Boys' canon.

There is truly no accounting for taste.. or smell.... My favorite song on the album gets voted off in the first round. Love Is A Woman.

As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off.

Tally on March 9th

Let Us Go on This Way
Roller Skating Child
Mona
Johnny Carson
Good Time
Honkin' Down the Highway
Ding Dang
Solar System
The Night Was So Young
I'll Bet He's Nice
Let's Put Our Hearts Together
I Wanna Pick You Up
Airplane

Round#1 - Love is a Woman March 7

This is probably the toughest album for me to vote things off. There are little things that make me love every since track.

That being said my vote for least favorite goes to Roller Skating Child. It feels the most thrown together of all the songs.

Let's Put Our Hearts Together

I like some of the instrumentation during the second verse, but that's about it. Very average singing from Brain and his missus.

Ding Dang.  There's nothing wrong with it, but its merely a snippet.

I can understand the votes for Let's Put Our Hearts Together, bit can we at least agree there's a great song under there even if the performance isn't up to snuff?

Love the backing track, but the vocals are beyond half-assed.

I AM TRULY AMAZED AT ALL THE VOTES FOR "ROLLER SKATING CHILD". I THOUGHT THAT WAS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS, AND THE BIG DANCEFLOOR-FILLER.
