Regaining my composure after the loss of my dear to me "Palisades Park" - That Ride ain't Never Closing Down for me!
My Votes:
"It's O.K."
and
"That Same Song"  - Can't hardly type that in.
Did I mention how much I love this record?

Seeing all these votes against Just Once In My Life made me realize that it's my favorite song on this album. Sad

Same here, it's my favourite as well with Palisides Park as second. To me they're the only two decent songs off this album.
So it does come as a big surprise that Palisades Park has been voted off, and Just Once In My Life is getting a lot of votes!

thanks for the opinion. but Its OK and Hadta Phone Ya are the standout trackz and one of them will win Ill bet!

And that is your opinion  Smiley

It's OK & In The Still of the Night

Don't vote Just Once In My Life off. It's such a great song.

Welcome back to a new round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok  :D ).... and without further ado...

Quote
15 Big Ones is the twentieth studio album by American rock group The Beach Boys, released in July 1976. It was their first studio album in three years and the first Brian Wilson-produced album released by the band since Pet Sounds, ten years earlier. This is also the first album to feature the classic lineup of the Beach Boys (Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Al Jardine) since the mid-1960s with Bruce Johnston's temporary departure from the group.
Although Dennis Wilson suggested calling the album Group Therapy,[citation needed] and rejecting Pick Ya Up at 8[citation needed](after the outtake "I Wanna Pick You Up"), 15 Big Ones was named for their fifteen years in the business and for the fact that it had the same number of tracks.

Go BACK HOME jojo. (17)

We're not singing That Same Song anymore. (32)

Anyone else feel like this is going too slow?

Ok Here we are at the FINAL ROUND!!!! Please vote for your FAVORITE TRACK!!!!

Tally on March 25th

It's O.K.
Had to Phone Ya
Just Once in My Life

Round#1 - T M Song March 7
Round#2 - Everyone's in Love with You March 9
Round#3 - A Casual Look March 11
Round#4 - Blueberry Hill March 13
Round#5 - Talk to Me March 15
Round#6 - Rock and Roll Music March 17
Round#7 - In the Still of the Night March 19
Round#7 - Chapel of Love March 19
Round#8 - Susie Cincinnati March 21
Round#8 - Palisades Park March 21
Round#9 - Back Home March 23
Round#9 - That Same Song March 23

I won't vote for Had To Phone Ya. I am surprised it made it this far, to be honest.

It's O.K. is the Beach Boys in fine sun and fun mood... but....

Just Once In My Life always gives me goosebumps. It's a cover. But it's the perfect end to 15 big ones. The way Carl sings "I can't give you the world but I'll work hard for you girl. I'll work hard everyday. Baby don't leave me. Now say you won't leave me. Do. This. For. Me. Babe." is (imo) the most heart wrenching vocal he ever recorded.

I understand that some might detest what they feel it represents, but to me, one song has always stood out a mile on this album:

"It's OK"

I also love "Just Once In My Life" but to me it doesn't really improve on the Righteous Brothers' original.

I like all three. But 'Just Once in My Life' isn't as good as the Righteous Brothers version. And 'Had to Phone Ya' is cool but a big lightweight. I vote for the song that actually manages to recapture some of the magic of the earliest Beach Boys hits:

It's OK.

Carl, in the finals again.  Sometimes it's my second favorite from 15 Big Ones, sometimes a tie with that roller coaster song.  Carl was the star of this album.  And I agree pixletwin, maybe his most heart felt vocal ever.  I've never heard it sung better, the song didn't even mean that much to me until I heard this version.  Carl is down on his knees begging please.  He pulled the hurt from deep down in his soul.  You've got to lose someone to get this feel.

Of the three songs here, I'll go with It's OK.
There's a lot to like about Just Once In My Life, but IMO the guys' voices not at their peak here, with quite a few distracting hiccups.
