Management hyped all their records, as best they could.  Beach Boys weren't exactly media darlings in 1970's America.  The Wings Tour, that got lots of front pages.  They hyped the truth.  Brian was Back!  On record for sure.  I don't remember it being much bigger than putting "Surf's Up" on a record.  Or re-releasing a record that had been out of print for years with CATP-"ST."
I'll keep it brief Marcella.  15 Big Ones was a Top Ten Hit, the only original long-player that did that in the 70's.  That was a Big Deal, not a nail in the coffin of commercial viability.  I wish the boys had supported Brian's Adult/Child idea.
.
Respect is more personal.  I respect Brian's choice to use his "Manly Voice" - It will be hard for me to pick my votes.  As I love so many.  I didn't understand your reference to "in these parts" - "like" is subjective.  Thanks for sharing your opinion.  Enjoy the game.
.
Okay, bang bang (again)
)"Everyone's In Love With You"

Brian`s Back was a sham but the marketing campaign worked. 15 Big Ones would never have become a huge hit without it in the same way that Kokomo would never have been a huge hit without Cocktail and TWGMTR would never have become a huge hit without the C50 anniversary tag applied.

I'm holding out on voting because I dislike most of the oldies versions pretty equally, but I never totally got the "Everyone's In Love With You" hate. If you don't think about the TM connection, you can just take it at face value and it becomes a nice little Mike Love girl-and-boy song.

If I recall correctly, Dennis liked Everyone's In Love With You.

Everyone Doesnt Love this Song.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Welcome back to a new round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok  :D ).... and without further ado...

Quote
15 Big Ones is the twentieth studio album by American rock group The Beach Boys, released in July 1976. It was their first studio album in three years and the first Brian Wilson-produced album released by the band since Pet Sounds, ten years earlier. This is also the first album to feature the classic lineup of the Beach Boys (Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Al Jardine) since the mid-1960s with Bruce Johnston's temporary departure from the group.
Although Dennis Wilson suggested calling the album Group Therapy,[citation needed] and rejecting Pick Ya Up at 8[citation needed](after the outtake "I Wanna Pick You Up"), 15 Big Ones was named for their fifteen years in the business and for the fact that it had the same number of tracks.

15 Smilers are in Hate with You.

As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off.

Susie Cincinnati.

I love almost everything that The Beach Boys recorded in the late 60s and early 70s, but this one is so boring and uninspired that it's actually one of the worst songs on one of their weakest albums.

And besides, it's just lame to put a 6 year old B-side on a new studio album.

A Casual Look

I agree with previous comments. The duh-duh-duh background vocals destroy this one right out of the gate, and the rest of the song doesn't really make up for it.

I don't hate all of the covers on this album, but it baffles me that they couldn't have found a more interesting cross-section of 50s songs to tackle.
