Welcome back to a new round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok  :D ).... and without further ado...

Quote
Holland is the nineteenth studio album by the American rock group The Beach Boys, released in January 1973. It was recorded in Baambrugge, Netherlands over the summer of 1972 using a reconstructed studio sent from California, and with two Brian Wilson tracks rush-recorded in Los Angeles and added to the album at the last minute.

As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off.

Tally on March 7th

Sail On, Sailor
Steamboat
California Saga: Big Sur
California Saga: The Beaks of Eagles
California Saga: California
The Trader
Leaving This Town
Only with You
Funky Pretty
Mount Vernon and Fairway (A Fairy Tale)

My least favorite on this one is easy: The Beaks of Eagles

Only with you. Sounds like a demo compared to the live version.

I love beaks of eagles.

I Don't slippingonthrough.  This bird came crashing through plate glass.
.
"California Saga: The Beaks of Eagles" will set a record for how fast it flies away.  What made them think this would work?  Maybe should have considered going with an instrumental after the first play-back.  I appreciated when they released Ten Years of Harmony and tracked "California" to follow "It's A Beautiful Day."
"California" had such a different feel after being cut away from "Beaks of Eagles."  The only Beach Boys track I was ever embarrassed to play when my friends were over.  Everybody rolled their eyes.  Made side one pretty much a two track and flip.

The Beaks of Eagles has nice some very nice moments, but the spoken word bits take a little too much of the track for my liking.  It has my vote on an album with no poor songs.

"The Beaks of Eagles."  A shame it isn't an instrumental.

Beaks of Eagles (which I love). All of Holland is brilliant.

The Beaks of Eagles. The music and verses are enjoyable though and it`s a shame that this is one of the few California oldies that Al decided not to revisit for his solo album.
