A band called The Beach Boys are mostly going to be a fun in the sun-themed group. And that has, is, and will always be just as it should. There needs to be ONE classic band that isn't a pack of endless "artistic" moan. All people wanna do is make The Beach Boys into another Beatles they are less tired of.
And, for anyone who has actually experienced them, surfing and cars carry PLENTY of emotion and life experience. They can carry as much metaphor as any Van Dyke Parks clever epistle.

I'm thinking it'll probably take a mess of help for my favorite track to win, but I will vote for it, proudly:

It takes a mess of help to stand alone

All This Is That has this in the bag, but for me it's only the third best behind these two Brian rockers.  My vote goes to You Need a Mess of Help to Stand Alone because it's one of the few Beach Boys that really rocks.

Since I once had a bumper sticker custom made for me in honor of the song, I must say YNAMOHTSA is the best track on CATP...

WELCOME TO THE END OF ROUND#22 OF BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR!!!!!!

Quote
Carl and the Passions – "So Tough" is the eighteenth studio album by American rock band The Beach Boys, released on May 15, 1972. Initial pressings of the album included Pet Sounds as a bonus record. The album is frequently considered a transitional album for the band, with the addition of Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar on guitar and drums, respectively, and long-time member Bruce Johnston departing during its initial sessions.
It's been speculated that Carl and the Passions – "So Tough" was either scheduled to be released, or re-released, as a single album. A Warner/Reprise catalogue number, MS 2090, had been assigned to this single disc release, but nothing came of it. The album was released as a standalone album in Europe on Reprise Records.
The title of the album was a reference to an early band Carl Wilson had been in as a teenager. It was also the first album released under a new deal with Warner Bros. that allowed the company to distribute all future Beach Boys product in foreign as well as domestic markets.

This track had A Mess of 15 Smilers to Help it Stand Alone... but not enough in the end.  Cry

18 Smilers flipped with one arm over their shoulders for Marcella.

But there can be only one and this round's winner of round#22 of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR (with 23 votes) IS....

All This Is That

Round#1 - Hold On Dear Brother February 13
Round#2 - He Come Down February 17
Round#3 - Here She Comes February 19
Round#4 - Make It Good February 21
Round#5 - Cuddle Up February 23
Round#6 - You Need a Mess of Help to Stand Alone February 25
Round#6 - Marcella February 25

Thanks for playing folks. Round#23 will begin when rounds 20 and 21 are completed.

Nice! Cuddle Up was by far my favourite on the album, but All This Is That is great as well and deserves more recognition.

Disappointed, but not surprised. Find it hard to see how ATIT is more popular than YNAMOHTSA, but oh well...

I fell out of favor from the start with this one, some of my favorite tracks went early on.

"All this is that" is far from the best song on CATP but the people have spoken.
