You don't like the part where the boys go, "muuuuusic is iiiiiiiiin my sooooooooooul"? you typed that real well. I could hear the lyrics in my head! well you know I want other songs to survive, thats the way the ball bounces.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Cool, Cool Water. Very repetitive, boring and forgetful. And I don't see how that's a better song than the brilliant Add Some Music!

I suggest you check out Steven Desper's study video on Cool Cool Water if you haven't already. I never felt like I appreciated the layers of complexity and beauty until I heard it. It just might be my favorite on the album.

Have either of you watched Survivor? That is what it's all about: Tactical voting.... Really I don't think it affects the end result, which is the real point of these threads. I am a huge Survivor fan….I must have missed the episodes where everyone clearly writes down their votes, contestants add the vote tallies, and change votes several times to ensure that a competitor that they like sticks around an extra round--even though they really want someone else gone. Really, these are for fun, and I am NOT advocating creating rules against changing votes, but really, if a track is your least fave it is your least fave--end of story. Vote it off and be done with it, don't sit there counting tallies to "save" a weak track that will ultimately go anyway. It's one thing when pixletwin wants a tie broken at the end, quite another when it is done early to "save" unworthy tracks.

It just might be my favorite on the album. Amen to that. I always thought it was just a cool-sounding experiment that got kind of dull until the end, but thanks to Desper's study I've never listened to it the same way again. It's a terrific track, and certainly one of the best on this album (against some pretty stiff competition).

CCW is one of the best in their entire catalogue… loved this when I first heard it through my mother's quality hi-fi when I was a kid, as the quality was startling… the hidden background noises had me gaping. It's a close relative of All This Is That, With Me Tonight, You're Welcome, Mama Says etc to my ears… effectively a chant that transports you to another place. The repetition is deliberate.
