I might nominate "Being With the One You Love".

Damn I love this song. No idea why this wasn't a proper BW88 album track.
(And thank the stars above planet Earth that the lyrics were changed from what they were to what they became).

"Joy To The World" - the only thing he's done with Thomas that doesn't make me tear my hair out at some point.

Slightly off-topic: someone should release a compilation with Brian's solo odds & ends. He's got so many songs that hardly anyone has ever heard, because they're only on such obscure compilations or special editions, it's really a shame...

That would be a no-brainer for a download only release: BriMel, please copy.  Grin

Let's Go to Heaven in my Car. I bought Police Academy 4 on dvd just to hear the song in it. Turned out to be a hilarious movie too.

Being w/ the One You Love is a gem, for sure. Such a soothing song.

This Song Wants To Sleep With You Tonight.  Love this one.  Should have been on the very short soundtrack and would have made it much better as a result.

Sped up x 39539539 and the quality's a bit rough, but darn it, I knew there was a good song somewhere in there. Shame the studio versions we have are lacking in one way or another.

I know, but it was a bonus track and not part of the regular album.

Easily "What Love Can Do" for me - but don't watch the official video if you haven't already. There's footage of Brian recording his vocal, he looks really zoned out and it's a bit sad. Now I can't NOT think of that video when I hear the song.

I really like "What Love Can Do" and "Being with the One You Love". It probably doesn't count but I really enjoyed his performance of "The First Time" - I can't understand why he hasn't recorded and released studio versions of songs like that and "This Isn't Love", which is another good one.

"Live Let Live" is absolutely epic, I don't get the same feeling when I hear the Lucky Old Sun version.

I went to see the movie just to hear the song - disappointed it was buried in the closing credits. Played the single over and over that summer, knowing  I was the only person in all of Seattle with a copy. Or at least it felt that way.
