"Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)"
"You Still Believe in Me"
"I Just Wasn't Made for These Times"

Let's Go Away For A While

Not sure if that counts - it was the B side to "Good Vibrations."

In that case Here Today (B-side of Darlin') doesn't count either...

Crap - I just remembered IJWMFTT was released as a single by those SubPop dudes in '96.
Only four were released as singles: Caroline, No, Sloop John B, Wouldn't It Be Nice/ God Only Knows; side A/B. Those are contemporaneous to the LP release.

Some others were, what I'd call an "afterthought" side B, releases. I'd say four is a lot from an LP.  That leaves about nine from which to choose. (Perhaps that was a strategy to release a Pet Sounds cut, with something in 1968, such as side B of Darlin' (Here Today)to keep/get the Pet Sounds corpus in the distribution stream...I don't know...

But, I'm sure some with counter otherwise.  A single in '96 should hardly be off your list.   Wink

"I'm Waiting For The Day"
"Here Today"
"You Still Believe In Me"

I love the contrast between the soft, sweet sections of "Waiting" and the louder, more raucous section introduced by the percussion.  "Here Today" is a great pop song, and the tag to "You Still Believe" has unbelievable harmonies.

Not sure if this qualifies in the "unpopular opinion" thread or not, but I prefer the "Hang On To Your Ego" incarnation to "I Know There's An Answer."  I miss the fuller background harmonies that are present on "Ego".
