Your terrific track made me wander...

to an old bootleg CD of Lindsey Buckingham...a remarkable disc containing songs
that would appear on a number of his later releases and on Fleetwood Mac's
Say You Will.

The boot has him doing Try For The Sun...in an amazing primordial way (it would
show up later on a solo Lindsey CD)

Who is this "Donovan"  ?

Hey Robert,  Very Good!  That song fits your voice well.  Did you play everything?
What are all you guys using?  Done on a computer set-up?  Sounds like some of you have professional studios in your homes.
.
And D,  You've got to get to listening to Donovan.  He does folk/jazz/psych/rock...very talented cat.  His In Concert (the complete 1967 Anaheim Show) will give you a dose of his jazz/psych period.  Songs of Summer and Open Road, his folk stuff.  His tracks with Jeff Beck Group, for rock.  Or get the Sunshine Superman DVD to have a great overview of his whole career.
peace,  Will

Thanks! I'm playing everything here. The bass, accordion, and celesta are played on the keyboard, but the guitar, harmonica, and my voice are 100% real Grin

I use an iMac with a recording program called Logic Pro X, and I record with a condenser microphone. It's a great, cost-feasable way to make a nice sounding song.

Thanks again for listening!

Wow, this sounds great. Might be my favorite cover of yours yet. What kind of reverb did you use on your vocals? BIG sound!

Sounds great Rab.  I've not heard the original, but I plan to listen to it in the near future.  Your voice sounds great, love the production.

@Seltaeb1012002: I use a plugin called "space designer" in logic - I put it on a default setting so I really don't know how it makes the sound, but here's a screenshot of the settings:

@Empire of Love: The original is a classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoEle04qu_U

@Mr. Wilson: Yeah, for this song there's a capo on the 5th fret I believe.

Thanks for listening guys! Glad you all enjoy it Smiley

Rab's cover version made me dance. Seven years ago.
