Have any of you played the "I Do" stereo Beach Boys/Castells version mixed by Daddy P on You-Tube?  If not, do.

Big thanks to Fall Breaks for putting together a viable list of songs to vote from. I will quote his disclaimer text:

Quote
All songs legally released. Rounds not strictly defined by eras, since I wanted about an album’s length of songs in every round. May or may not work. No guarantee that I haven’t forgot to include some obscure track. You could argue that especially the 1969-1971 “suffers” from having too many strong tracks where only one can win, but then again, only one Pet Sounds track made it to the finals as well. Version specifications have to be made for some tracks, e.g. Can’t Wait Too Long and It’s A Beautiful Day).

Apparently, with only 1 vote, not enough people were listening to the call "Land Ahoy".

With only 5 votes, not many people cared how they were Dressed Up For School.

AND THE WINNDER OF THE 17th ROUND OF BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR IS... overwhelming with 25 votes...

I Do[/color][/b]

Round#1 - Punchline January 24
Round#2 - Karate (aka Beach Boys Stomp) January 26
Round#3 - Baker ManJanuary 28
Round#4 - Judy January 29
Round#5 - Luau January 31
Round#5 - Lavender January 31
Round#6 - Mother May I February 3
Round#6 - Things We Did Last Summer February 3
Round#7 - Cindy, Oh Cindy February 4
Round#7 - The Lord’s Prayer February 4
Round#8 - Little Surfer Girl February 6
Round#9 - Land Ahoy February 8
Round#9 - All Dressed Up For School February 8

Thank you all for making this first round of Odds 'n' Ends a pleasurable one. We will begin again with 1970's SunFlower as soon as the other two rounds of Odds 'n' Ends are completed.

The right song won!

Now, The Little Girl I Once Knew and WIBNTLA must win in their rounds!

I know it's a bit late but I think you forgot the single version of Be True To Your School

I said that on page 5 (a bit late even then!) but it wouldn't have won anyway. Lots of people get embarrassed by that song.

I was surprised!! I think All Dressed Up For School is way better and I had really expected it to win. Nice as it is, I hadn't realised their was so much love for I Do.

No, I excluded it intentionally, along with the early versions of "Surfin' Safari", "Surfer Girl", alternate takes of "Heroes and Villains", "Good Vibrations", "I'm So Young", "Dance Dance Dance" and the two different versions of "Can't Wait Too Long", for example. Right or wrong? Don't know, but I had to draw the line somewhere, otherwise we'd be voting for "Alan and Dennis Introduce 'Barbara Ann'" from Hawthorne, CA vs the "K.O.M.A." radio spot from the GV box set. Well, maybe not, but you get my point.  Smiley

A line needs to be drawn somewhere or else coming up with a list can get very tedious very fast.

The next odds and ends round I will post the track list 24 hours before voting begins so people can add tracks they feel we missed.  3D
