Bruce says over at the BBB board:

"While I was surfing over the weekend I had a wave collapse just as I was doing an old fashioned longboard kick out and the fin sliced part of my face as the board wizzed by me. I had several stitches on the right side of my face and I've been laying low this week.
The stitches come out late Wednesday....I fly to Galveston Thursday and sing Friday. Current condition: Still a bit of ouch ...!"

Brian can SEE the future. He warned all of those surfers.

Bruce is cool as heck, anyway.

Glad to see that Bruce is STILL SURFIN' after his bypass surgery!

Be careful, Bruce, we need you for the Beach Boys' reunion concert, tour, CD, and DVD...

Well here's another one for ya ... I was recently in touch with Les Williams - the surfer who graces the cover of the "Surfin' USA" cover (taken at Sunset Beach, January 1961) - and he's been riding the waves since the late 1940's and he's STILL to be found at the beach every day !!

Hey, the Beach Boys oughta invite old Les on stage for the reunion concert too!

Malc, I like your avatar; any way you could post an enlarged version of it?

I was at Newport Beach a few weeks ago and witnessed numerous sexegenarian surfers.  They looked a little brine soaked but otherwise in excellent physical shape.

Might make a fitting cover star for the re-union concert CD.
