I was just watching this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPadQD2LKwM&search=%22The%20Beach%20Boys%22, when I realized how good looking Carl Wilson is/was. Look at that guy, that's a handsome face. I'd pay great sums of money to have a face like that.

Can Al play the flute? In this video he's playing one, (No sound).

I don't really like the way Pet Sounds-era Carl looks.. I think it's the hair.

He is pretty cute, overall, though.

I always thought they looked kind of unhealthy on this UK tour. Too much touring, traveling, and bad food through '66. This is one of the few times you'll see Dennis Wilson looking pale.

In all fairness, Jon, I was agreeing more with Lincoln in the general sense than in the specific tour sense. The Wilsons are a family full of attractive people, physically and personalitywise.

I have to say that Brian has really aged quite well -- the photos taken of him in the last 10 years or so have included some great shots. He certainly looks better as as old guy than he did as a young one.

Brian was a babe back in the day --- now he's just old. Brian HAS aged well though, and if he just GREW A BEARD he could hide some of his facial wrinkles.  Grin

Brian now looks like an aging young Brian.  For a while in the seventies and eighties he looked like someone else.  Like he should have put on a hat and cowboy boots and gotten onstage with some southern rockers.  Maybe sing Free Bird.

The picture in the Gaines book of Brian, 300 pounds, bearded, long hair, robe, etc is so great. He looks like a fat Jesus.

I love the bit at the end of that Sllop John YouTube clip where they are being mobbed onstage.
One of them nearly wrestled Mike to the ground.  It was very funny.  LOL  LOL  LOL

On the contrary, I find the physical change between Landy era Brian and some point in the 1990s quite shocking.  Look at Live Aid - he looks the fittest and healthiest looking guy on stage - probably the best he'd looked since about 1966.  Of course, I am talking purely about physical appearance here.

Brian has aged well, but there is one thing I have to say..he seriously needs to quit using so much hairspray in his hair. The way he combs his hair now makes him look older.

Well sure...anyone with a brain stem knows that...but he looks pale coming down the steps of the airplane. Like I said...they'd been touring non-stop for several years...and by '66 they start to look a little puffy, and non-California like. Can't really blame it on the UK if he just got there minutes before.

IMO, Carl looked cool in the late 60's period. Dennis' period was in the 70's(liked how his face became more mature and tough looking), Brian in the mid 60's(the hair was cool, not to mention thos PS era glasses), Al, maybe mid 60's? Undecided, Bruce would have to be present time, and Mike, well  Undecided ???hmmm, early 60's.

Bruce was a stud in the mid to late sixties. Heck throw in the early 70s too.

I got some pretty awesome pics of him...

They all looked pretty good on the '67 UK tour. I think Carl was fairly thin (for him) at that time.

British people are genetically pale; one is exposed to the sun's rays no matter how cloudy it is.

You've obviously never lived here.

My ex used to fancy Carl (circa 1980).  But then again she used to fancy me so she's no expert.  For me, Bruce always looked a little too much like a creepy televangelist.
