Founded by the Germans, the name means a Whale's Vagina.

Did it ever occur to you, Cable, how wise and bountiful God was to put breasts on a woman? Just the right number in just the right place. Did you ever notice that, Cable?

The housing is really, really expensive.  It's beautiful in some spots, not so beautiful in others.  It's growing.  Traffic is bad, as it is in most urban areas of California.  It doesn't seem to have a lot to do other than outdoor activities, lacking the cultural amenities of Los Angeles or even San Francisco.  It has a cute downtown ballpark.  It does have some nice tourist destinations (Old Town, the Mission, Coronado, the SD Zoo).  It has lots of shopping centers.  It has a freeway system that makes me nervous (short merges, curves, spots with high grades).  The weather is mild year-round, never getting that warm, but also usually not getting too cold.   It has some nice beaches.

Is there a reason you're relocating to a place you know little about?

Thanx Marie, I am actually making a record there.  Plus I want to live near the ocean.  I am getting signed to a small label.  I figured housing would be high but I doubt it is as high as Manhattan.  A power pop cd I am cutting for a label there.  Do U live there? Just curious.  It was very kind of you to tell me about the area.  I use to reside in LA and I think I will like San Diego.  Thank you again.

I don't live there, but have visited a few times.  It's a lovely part of California, and living near the beach probably is the best place to be there.   Hope you enjoy your stay.
