Hey all, longtime Beach Boys fan...first time poster, you know the drill!

This may have already been discussed before, but is that Bruce at the end of "I'll Be He's Nice"?  "Well it's youuuuuuuuu, youuuu"

I know he was on that album somewhere briefly, as I've read somewhere before, but is that his spot?  Sure sounds like him!

Thanks!

Don't think he's on "The Night Was So Young", though.

I've always thought it was a touch of genius from Brian (or Carl) to call Bruce to deliver that exect line. No-one else could have added that necessary amount of heartfelt syrup. A nice touch, however minor. They may have blown their career many times with incredibly stupid decisions, but they really had that music making thing down pat, right down to the smallest details.

I always heard it said that Bruce was involved in some way in every studio album during his hiatus, but I didn't know what his involvement was on Love You till now...great observation! It totally sounds like him, I just never noticed!

On our way through this "backstage" maze, Bruce joined up with the group and said hello, singing "It Never Rains in Southern California" and joking with some of the older ladies. I'm not sure if they knew he was a Beach Boy or simply an enthusiastic elderly gay gentleman.

There's a cool photo of Dennis, Brian and Bruce around the microphone at Brother Studios that I've always thought has to be from the "I'll Bet He's Nice" vocal session...it was published in the final issue of David Leaf's "Pet Sounds" fanzine, which can be seen in a scan located here (about 3/4 or more down):

The caption dates the photo to December 1977, but I really think it should read December 1976, which would date it nicely to the "Love You" sessions.
