http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2934150/

I see it here as slated for 2014.  We need confirmation about this. Who is Mark Bennett, the Producer listed? It's status is "post production."

I emailed the producer Barry Summers last week...still no response.  Mark Bennet was apparently on board the C50 shows and filmed a lot of them.

PS, a member on this board, is apparently in contact with him:

A little more reiteration and confirmation from my source close to Mark Bennett, the director of both the DVD concert and the forthcoming feature:

"I believe a full length feature film in the theaters might be in the offing.....I will confirm this weekend... Bennett and crew were at virtually every concert taping everything . Huge undertaking. Supposed to have a DVD first, and movie next year......"

If it's The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour, YES!

Rock Fuel Media did the 'Do It Again' clip, now blocked, but at least they have some form.

I am very excited about this. Of course if it came out as a movie in theaters we would not be able to buy it for some months afterward, right?I will also say that I was at that show and it was not exactly my favorite. I believe they played better in Irvine. And I know for sure that real Albert Hall was far superior. I think on the song sail on sailor inparticular dave was still working out his part in the Hollywood Bowl show. In any case, since it is a two hour production perhaps some of the weaker moments have been cut and perhaps also the California saga appearance will not be on the DVD. I know it was a two and 1/2 hour show, and if this show is going to be two hours, then they must be eliminating some of the actual presentation. and even if tthere is some sweetening to compensate for any moments of imprecision, I will still certainly be looking forward to 82 our DVD's of the Beach Boys. For now let's wait and see and enjoy this experience when it happens.

Hate to be a downer but could this be the same Marc Bennett who was behind the failed project a few months back? Undecided

Of course there was word it may be picked up at some stage but c'mon, a 3D movie 2 years after the event?

If it ever happens I'm picking straight to DVD.

If it ever happens, this sounds like it could be planned as one of those one-night-only type events that Fathom does.

well, lets cross our fingers. I was at both the Hollywood Bowl and Irvine shows as well and  I for one thought the Bowl was better. In fact I thought it was the best of the 4 shows I attended. All subjective, I guess.  Of course given the choice I would pick the RAH

I can't imagine that this would do all that well as a full out theatre release, but I would expect it to sell well as a Blu Ray.

The novelty of having to dive for cover each time Mike points or Bruce swings his mic stand would wear thin pretty quickly. Grin

If they release it to Blu Ray in 3D, I'm sure it will also be available in 2d as well.  Let's hope they do it right this time.

Put it out in 2D, please! I find 3D difficult to watch -- it gives me headaches.

Forget the 3D, just give us an interactive version. I want to play that keyboard that Bruce is too busy clapping and adjusting his mike stand to be bothered with.
