I don't think that's fair or right.  Bruce is the one guy from the group who actually takes the time to interact with the fans on-line.  It's generally just the light stuff granted but he's available...and always has been...at least for as long as I can remember on BBB.  

To have a chance to ask a question, get an answer and say thanks for taking the time isn't sucking up.  It's just about being equally decent.  And he'll also pop in and offer something up or add some insight on his own.  He obviously reads virtually every post...although he certainly doesn't react to most of them.  Same with Scott [not Bennett] here.

Jeez we do get mean about the guys who are members of our favourite group.  Doesn't matter what they do.  And if we appreciate the things they do we're dicks too?

There are only so many grains of sand left in the Beach Boys hour-glass.  Time is running out.  Maybe out of the bunch of them individually and collectively we'll see another 3 or 4 albums that we'll all get to piddle on and label as crap.  Those albums which deserve that kind of attention were recorded long ago.  Anything we get now is just a bonus...and for the most part a bonus we never would have expected or considered as even a remote possibility even 2 decades ago.  Maybe we'll personally have the chance to watch other people meet them after shows here and/or there and think that the 'boys' are just being thanked and getting a handshake 'cause those fans are sucking up to them...that they paid for their tickets and travelled whatever the distance just to do THAT.

I don't know.  I guess Mike and Bruce will keep going for a little while longer but really...beyond 2017?  The odds really start to decline.  Brian and his crew?  Same...with or without Al and David there for support and maybe for the fun of it.

It's been a long and rough ride.  The ups have to have outweighed the downs.  The victories must have outdistanced the defeats.  We're all here...hoping for more.  AND they're still there trying to deliver it.  I'm sure almost all of us could EASILY list our top 200 favourite Beach Boys [and solo Beach Boys] songs...redo the list a month later and change 20 of them out for 20 other great choices.  Pretty impressive body of work.  We're lucky.  Yet we still expect these guys to be perfect.  It's never gonna happen.  But they must have done something right...cause here we all are... ... ...NOT sucking up to them.

1. He's been on a tour bus for 53 years
