To me at least, it is a major disappointment. I've always liked Kevin Rudd, but it looks like he's gone for good.

Isn't Tony Abbott the guy Julia Gillard publicly blasted for his misogyny?  I'm surprised he would be able to hold a reputation after that.  I'm an American so I know nothing about Aussie politics but I do remember that video was everywhere.

Australians' first mistake - letting the state regulate marriage. Sadly, you're not alone in that boat. The state needs to be gone from marriage.
