Kinda of surprised at votes for Cuckoo Clock and Moon Dawg.  I always thought Cuckoo Clock had a nice tinge of melancholy on the verses, while Moon Dawg the most polished song on the record.  Not saying they're great tracks by any means, but I find they present something interesting in a largely unremarkable collection of songs.

My vote again goes to Chug-a-Lug.

I like Moon Dawg. Voting it off is liking it a little less than the others. The album is raw, but I still like quite a bit. It's the Beach Boys becoming the Beach Boys.

I actually like most of the album.  In a few rounds, this will be quite difficult since many of the tracks have quite a bit of sentimental value for me, even though I obviously don't consider Surfin' Safari their best album.

Heads You Win, Tails I Lose - my least favorite on the record. Irritating.

Also, "Ten Little Indians" is a very catchy tune and should have been eliminated around the halfway point. But at least that ho-hum Cochran cover is gone.

With this particular slate of songs really anything could go at any time. I personally think 409 will stand as the sole survivor here. That and County Fair are about the only tracks without votes yet, I think....

Surfin' Safari made our Top 100 poll last year at like #76 or whatever, so it's pretty much a lock to win. Sorry if that spoils anything for you.

That said, this sort of polling allows for a divisive tune to not win. For example, a song could be the favorite of 60% and the least favorite of 40% and end up going home first. Basically, every round we're eliminating the song that has the most haters bothering to vote.

Yeah I agree...which is why a song like 409 may just conquer Surfin' Safari. To a casual fan it's no question SS would trump all but I think fanatics like ourselves may prefer 409...we shall see. SS already received a vote to go in round 1 so ya never know.
