Glass Onion is a pathetic attempt at song writing. I can't understand why everyone seems to dig the White Album when it is riddled with filler and less-than-standard material.

Don't get me wrong. White Album has much good music and if it had been a single LP release with the good stuff it would be a stelar release.

I must admit that I love "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da"...

I know! And you're far from the only one. I think Obladioblada is the most famous track on the White Album, everyone seems to ignore the good Lennon tracks. Maybe Obladioblada and Back In The USSR was the only songs which were 'catchy' enough at the time.

Personally I think it's bloody awful.

Personally I think it's bloody awful.

Well, you're definitely not the only one who thinks it's awful either. I've read a few "Worst Songs by Great Bands" and "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" shows up quite a bit...
But, while I usually prefer McCartney over Lennon, it's hard to pretend that Lennon doesn't have great songs all over this album, like "Happiness is a Warm Gun," "I'm So Tired," "Yer Blues," "Everybody's Got Something to Hide," "Sexy Sadie," and "Revolution 1."

"Dear Prudence," and "Bungalow Bill" also appeal more to my "poppier side." However, "Revolution 9," I believe, is by far the worst "song" The Beatles recorded.
