Ignore the doubters - I love these kind of threads! If it were up to me every thread would be lists.
Pre-PS
1. The Little Girl I Once Knew 2. She Knows Me Too Well (How was this left off of MIC??) 3. Don't Worry Baby
Post-PS
1. Feel Flows 2. Lady (original single version - swoon!) 3. Where I Belong (yeah, you heard me - f*** all y'all!)
4. All I Wanna Do
I'm not going to declare either pre- or post- as superior/inferior as my opinion varies depending on my mood.

It is quite literally impossible for me to pick a top three favorite songs from these era's so I won't even try.

You're being held captive by Somali Pirates. They've got a machete to the back of your neck. They're going to chop your head clean off if you don't tell them your favourite three pre-Pet Sounds Beach Boys songs and your favourite three post-Pet Sounds Beach Boys songs. Ok, now tell us...

Impossible to decide from a purely musical point of view. I tend to find the post-Smile era a tiny bit more interesting in some ways.

I'm with those who like these list-threads. Though this one is one tough choice...
Ante: - I Get Around (the most rocking song of 1964, hands down!) - Good to My Baby (in my humble opinion, it's one of the best BBs songs, sp underrated even by hardcore fans) - Help Me, Rhonda (no wonder it got to #1. Because of Al's terrific singing!)
Post: - At My Window - I Wanna Pick You Up - Pitter Patter
50/50, because I like every one of those chapters in the BBs' career.
Honorable mentions: Surfin' USA, Take a Load off Your Feet, Salt Lake City, 10 Little Indians, Never Learn Not to Love, I Went to Sleep, Lady Lynda & In the Back of My Mind.

1) California Girls - Written and sung by Mike, great record. 2) Surfin USA - Mike made the group internationally famous and loved by the world. 3) Fun Fun Fun - Mike's lyrics flow like butter.
vs.
1) Kokomo -Mike's seminal masterpiece. Unparalleled. 2) Goin' to The Beach - I had to sell a large portion of my belongings to get this from a certain insider back in the day. Never regretted it even for a second. Micheal is the greatest!! 3) Do It Again - Mike saved the Beach Boys with this one.

Are you a troll or just actually that much of a Mike-ista? Not that it's a problem if you are the latter (I've got no problem with Mike myself), it's just rather surprising to see someone that devoted to Mike rather than Brian or the band as a whole. Ah, another fan! Always nice to find other people who like Mike. But there are a lot on this board, many really. I recently a nice talk with drbeachboy about how good Mike is. nice guy, also a fan

Mike Love was at the top of his game from 1941 - present. I'd like to see Brian Wilson attempt to top "California Girls."
