i think this is a brilliant song. i tried to make it in the vein of "smile," although i do love the magic of the original and its synth-driven creep.

enjoy.

sounds great, but more like some random curt becher (or however the hell he spelled it!) band than anything on SMiLE. It's like Olivia Tremor Control fifteen years ago!

This is proof of what i always suspected: Love You would be a great album for me too if the arrangements were in a way that does justice to the songs. Your arrangement does.

It's not like SMiLE though in any way. You would have to add a long repetitive I-IV progression section. Grin Your arrangement has more of a 1968/69 pop feel. I like it. Smiley

I was surprised at how good your version was. In fact, I think I like it just as much as the original!
Great job!

I don't think it has a MIU style. But still, it's a great cover.

Very stunning work, quichenight, goes to show one more time how beautiful I Wanna Pick You Up is. Here's hoping you'll remake another BBs tune. As for comments, I agree that it's more of a 60s style, it just so obviously screams retro. Also, listen to the "pony" giggles & weird outro - those who didn't notice the Smile humor.

Short notice: the cat you see to the left is the best. Not counting your indoor cat who might have habit sitting at your left side when you post at SmileySmile.

Gene Tierney is beautiful. She's talented.
