What's your all-time favorite car songs?  Doesn't have to be just Beach Boys car songs.  Studio......live versions......let's have your top 10 favorites!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Shut Down, #1

Ballad of Ole Betsy... (actually had an aging truck that I named Betsy before I even heard the song... when I first heard it I couldn't believe it.)

Basically the entire Little Deuce Coupe album is all I need...

Oh, Highway Star by Deep Purple.

The Brianista Prayer

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.
Amen.  ---hypehat

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Hot Rod Lincoln (sorry Beach Boys), also like that annoying Beep Beep song.

For Beach Boys I'd have to say - Shut Down, Cherry Cherry Coupe, No-Go Showboat, Betsy and Spirit of America.

Don't Worry Baby.

It's amazing, whenever I hthink of that song, I don't think "car song"...even though it is. Works on so many levels.

Amongst younger people I talk to who don't relate to the BB's so much, they almost all love DWB. What a great one.

Isn't Shut Down the only BB song in which Mike plays sax?

Anyone recall a 1980s song called something like Every Guy's Got to Have An Automobile by the Stickshifters? Never been able to track a copy down…

I feel guilty saying this, but I honestly enjoy In My Car more than any of their other car songs.
