Since "Made In U.S.A." has been done, I think "Made In California" will be a great title!

There just might be a couple of songs that weren't made in California, but only the hard cores will know (and so what anyway).

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I think he (or she?) is referring to an alternate title to That's Why God Made The Radio (the album). I agree that that title is pretty rank, but wouldn't have chosen any of the above, too tacky.

Beach Boys 50 would have probably been a nice title, to coincide with the tour, but then again, might have been confusing because it wasn't their 50th album. As far as naming albums after song titles goes, From There To Back Again would have made a good title.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Mike and the passions.

Seriously though, "From there to back again" or "Summer's Gone" would have been great.

If this truly were to be the band's swan song, then I absolutely love Brian's original title for the album, Summer's Gone.  Once things went so well, and Brian was (still is?) hopeful that even more Beach Boys albums could arise, I totally get why the group opted for a change, though.

I remember last year, before we knew what the record would be called, some suggesting that Ocean Way would make for a fitting title.  Given the connection to the band's image and oft' quoted subject matter, it seems like a winner to me.  Additionally (and maybe it's the Beatlefan in me), going out with a record named after the studio where the fellas have been working seems like a great idea, too, so should we ever get that one last Beach Boys LP, I'd put this one forth as a contender for the title of the next album.

Think About The Days - would've sounded like a healthy dose of nostalgia, nothing too obvious or forced.

I thought I saw the title was originally gonna be called Summer's Gone, but Brian changed it to TWGMTR... Sorry, I love Brian but that was a mistake.. The title is way too long, has nothing too do really with the album itself, the title should have been short and sweet. Something to honor their 50th anniversary reunion or where their from, or the fact their America's Band!

I think Summer's Gone would have been a pretty great title, but that would be too much of a downer for Mr. Love.

Summers Gone?? Naw.  Thats a Doors rip-off anyway.

Almost.

I suggested that one back when we didn't even know the title yet, but it would only have made sense if the bulk of the album had been Brian&Mike tunes...

"From Wilson, with Love".
