Pre-Internet, local record fairs, op shops, collectables stores (Chapel Street Bazaar) etc. were great places to expand one's collection. These days I've found that such discoveries are rapidly declining. Ebay has become a great way to find and obtain collectables from around the world, unless of course you're bidding against an equally rabid collector

I wouldn't have the stuff I have if it wasn't for ebay.  The downside is that now the high postal costs from the US to the UK and ebay's Global Priority Shipping scheme are meaning I'm not able to bid on as much as I'd like too.  Patience is also worth having.  It's taken me a while to get some stuff at the 'right' price and in the condition I want but I've picked up Pet Sounds Green label and stereo vinyl (the 1st one) recently.

I have a Carl Wilson Foundation CD containing the BBs SMiLE version of "You're Welcome" that, if memory serves, was sent out to people who had attended a previous CWF show. I don't remember if it was a "thank you" for having attended type of thing, or more a promo item for the then-upcoming next CWF show. Either way, a pretty rad item. I had Brian sign it.

Hey, NICE! Was wondering where to post again, and then  this thread is brought back. Perfect timing!!  (So, I'm doing sections, not the whole collection at once)  
     Seeing the All Summer Long mention in , I think, the esq feedback thread, reminded me of the ASL package I bought a few years back.  

 Front and back slicks, 4 actual labels( a side 1 and 3- side 2's); 4 "Label Copy and Notice Of Coupling" reference sheets from the Capitol files, and a small corrected song listing ( it was originally stapled to one of the 4 label copy sheets)  
 Showing both sides of 1 of the 4 "label Copy" sheets; the back slick with the stamp/sig/date from Ray Polley and the shipping note from Glendale Photo Engraving; the small track listing with the suggested correction; and three of the labels.  
  The Label copy sheet Seems to be the last of the 4 ( dated June 15 1964), Yet, the track listing seems to eliminate OFRS, which doesn't make much sense. ( the others are dated June 11th, (maybe) June 8th, and "not dated")
 Two of the Side 2 labels  differ in the way the credits read for OFRS, while the 3rd matches the label copy sheet shown( missing OFRS)

Okay, here's what I have by this wonderful band. Nothing special, but so far everything that I need.

cds: I have every official Beach Boys album either as a twofer or as a single cd except the live albums and Stars and Stripes. I have the Summer in Paradise European version.
I have the 2cd Smile Sessions version, because I don't like listening to recording sessions, I rather listen to complete songs. I don't have any box sets, but will get Made in California for my birthday.
I have all the Brian Wilson albums except I Just Wasn'T Made... And I have the Dennis Wilson 2cd edition.

vinyl: At the moment I'm getting most of the Beach Boys albums on lp, too, because I don't like listening to the twofers anymore, because you never know when the actual album ends or begins or the bonus tracks are playing. This kind of sucks about these twofers. Still glad that I have them. So far I have All Summer Long, Love You, Smiley Smile, Today, L.A., Sunflower and Surf's Up. I also have Mike Love's solo album on lp and the single with Annette "Monkey's Uncle".
