So I was going thru the Beatles Rock Band multitracks, and look what I found buried deep within the bass track of "Run For Your Life"...

Quality ain't perfect, being that it was super low in the bass track. Had to pull my usual bullsh*t to get it to a listenable level.

How fuckin' cool is that?!?!?!?! Awesome find. I haven't listened to Beatles boots in a very long time - is this circulating? Wonder why it's on the bass track, too....

Thanks. Yeah I was pretty shocked when I heard it!

This take does circulate, but it cuts off in the beginning of the 3rd verse. So this is the first time we're hearing the complete 3rd verse, and 4th.

Awesome find.  Grin This outtake has a special place in my heart, purely for nostalgic reasons. Does anybody remember that Beatles/Paul McCartney real audio bootleg site that existed about 15 or so years or so? That was where I first heard this alternate take. Man, that site was a revelation for fans like myself. One of the other recordings I remember that it had was take two of Twist and Shout, where you could hear John's voice finally give out after recording for something like 23 hours straight.

Interesting, but I do like the released version better.

John always sang as if his life depended on it - or in this case, as if the girl's life depended on it!
