An Older Hymn (Swedish Frog/Rab2591 collaboration)

Hello, guys.
Time to premier a song called
An Older Hymn
.
Can be found here:
https://soundcloud.com/swedish-frog/an-older-hymn
Words: Swedish Frog
Melody: Swedish Frog
Vocals: Rab2591
All instruments: Rab2591
An Older Hymn
Let him speak like free men do
Don't make him yield to one like me
I held a book in my hand stemming from our past
Describing good and bad
The wind came from the south
But the word came from above
The cross was upside down
It never turned around
When hope and distance met (for the first time)
The night was laid to rest (scribers wrote down)
No-one then explained (things no-one could have known, words no-one could have known)
The cause and the effect
"It somehow seems", a voice cried out
"I can hear the sound of battered towns"
This rings true to some of us
The signs are all around
And burnt into the ground
Sons and daughters had
Bodies that were clad
In newly knitted cloaks
Of shining golden smoke
Then the wilderness moved in (and not to barter)
I recall it still (it's not forgotten)
The murmur of the crowd (why they let us tell the tale, they let us tell the tale)
Turned into an older hymn
With the dawn of weary minds
Came the truth from behind
And when the clock replaced the time
A lonely song was heard
What happened to my love?
She started humming a simple tune
And she danced around across her room
Late that afternoon that was the last I saw of her
They found her broken bones
Behind a broken wall
Beneath the broken floor
But not her broken soul (but, not her broken soul)

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

Great work guys.
FOTM, seriously, you can't turn a compliment of someone else's work into a chance to plug your own...again. You have plenty of your own threads and plenty of posts in which to plug your work. Let these guys enjoy the spotlight without reference to your music.

Lighten up man, he wasn't stealing the thread, just playfully making a comparison to his own music and suggesting for them to look at it. While I don't know him personally I highly doubt his intents were malicious.
Gonna side with mypetsounds here - wasn't gonna say anything to begin with but I don't think he needs to "lighten up" at all.
Of course no one is being malicious - and it's really all good - but that was a self-promotion tool ever-so-lightly veiled as a comparison....
But...this thread should be about An Older Hymn, and ONLY An Older Hymn.....let us get back to the collab in the first post. Listened again, and it holds up extremely well.

Yeah, I have a terrible habit of using a sustaining synth bass. I can't write bass lines for beans, so I just use a droning bass tone. Hopefully I'll get a real bass one of these days and learn how to use it haha. Thanks for the comments and thanks for listening!
