I've heard that John Stamos is really good friends with Don Rickles. It would be neat if Rickles made fun of him in his act. I bet Rickles could really exploit the wannabe musicianship for a laugh.

Stamos doesn't seem all that bad honestly. Sure there's something faintly ridiculous about this washed up 90s sitcom star ingratiating himself so deeply with a 1960s classic rock band, but who can blame him? Stamos comes off as a genuine Beach Boys fan, and playing with Mike and Bruce is probably just a little perk for him that he managed to earn with his success. He comes off as being a pretty good humored guy, and I don't think he really has any ego about the whole thing.

If he played in Brian's band he'd be praised to the hills and beyond. We'd all be Full House fans.

His annoying stage mannerisms would suddenly become endearing? "Aww, look how much he loves Brian. I feel so safe"

As someone who likes The Beach Boys as a group best, I still think Stamos is sad. I thought that in 1988 though so it's not his age or anything. Full House was just the worst to me even as a kid and he always seemed like he was trying way too hard to be cool. He could be Brian's best friend for all I care, and in fact Brian actually defended him to Haward Stern in a 1988 interview.

I don't think I could buy Stamos in anything more than a fairly stock  soap opera or sitcom role, but he was pretty tolerable, and even funny at times in the Bob Saget roast.

Is it bad that I've bought Full House: Season 1 before?

Not really. I HATED Full House (although as much for Dave Coulier as much as Stamos).

For some reason I subconsciously read all of Ghost's posts in the voice of Alex DeLarge from Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Seems to fit quite well Grin

Honestly, if ghost/nobody/so cold i go burr/etc. had a blog updated on a daily basis I would make it my homepage. Any clues as to what he's up to these days? I found this website during a search:

http://mikelovesanus.webs.com/

Seems like his style kind of. But if it is him it's certainly not his best work.

And, Hal, what's going on there, friend?
