Hey everyone im new to this forum. I wanted to know if anyone knew what the name of the song or band is at the beginning of this movie where Denis takes uncle Murray's car. It's been killing for months now! I'd deeply appreciate it

This is the part of the movie, at about 3 minutes

1 - It's Dennis.

2 - It's Murry.

3 - Murry was his father, not his uncle.

I don't know the song. Maybe it was produced for the movie? I tried googling its lyrics but nothing came up.

Could be a soundtrack composition. I'll ask around.

You could try e-mailing the production company or the current owner of the broadcasting rights, or however that works.

Isn't this the sort of thing that's usually included in the credits at the end of a movie/show?
Presuming it's available, you could just watch the end, without suffering through the whole thing.
(I'll look around to see if I have this somewhere)

I've looked.. And nothing.. I googled, checked the credits.. And even then soundtrack for the movie.. I was hoping someone on here knew.. I'm guessing I might have to get the rights' owners contact info?

Possibly something Gary Griffin came up with - he did after all concoct "Geronimo Leaps..." and a faux-Spector track so believable that someone (here I think) insisted he knew which track it was, even when several of us here went to the ketchup and got the true gen.  Smiley

Gen. = genesis?

Ketchup = a seemingly strange term for "those who would know"...?

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Ketchup = sauce/source.

True gen = Hemingwayese for accurate information.

The song contains the lyric...' cool cool rocket pulling right in through the gate' which a quick google comes up zip!

I'm thinking the makers are trying for a Chuck Berry feel at this point in the movie. Now old Chuck has never been known for his generosity so I'm picking a soundalike artist was commisioned.

Yeah I'm definitely thinking the same.. I tried every lyric in the song. Slowed it down and all..

[sigh]

Go to the end credits - if there's a title you don't recognise, that's probably it. If it's not listed, it's commissioned soundtrack material, which I suspect it is, as per "Geronimo Leaps...".

what about the song from that clip of It's a Blue World, isn't that a Four Freshmen song?

Who's singing it in the movie?
