I've been listening to this new group called The Davis Brothers. If your wondering who will carry on the music Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys have left the world, I truly hope all of you will give these guys a listen. The best place to hear samples of their music is www.cdbaby.com and their website (www.davisbrothersonline.com), though their site is not 100% completed. I've bought the CD and it's just amazing, and it's clear they "get it" when it comes to Brian Wilson's music. Check it out !!   Wink

"Open My Eyes" -- yeah baby!

I've been listening to Steve Miller Band's "Living in the USA" over and over trying to get the harp solo down -- fairly tough!  Some of his early stuff (pre-"Joker"/"Eagle") is pretty damn good -- not a cool thing to say I know but that makes it even cooler!

The Miller records up to 1974 are unquestionably great, particularly Children Of The Future, Sailor and Brave New World!

I like "Jet Airliner"... probably due to the chord progression in the chorus.  Smiley

Hey, Dennis WIlson liked it, so who am I to say that I'd rather run headfirst into a wall of barbed wire than even to overhear that crap from a passing car?

If it makes you feel any better Ian, I hate Sting as a solo artist. The Police on the other hand, were far better.

I agree. Summers and Copeland are incredible, and Sting is an OK bassist. Their first two albums are bearable.
