Since my recent youtube discovery been listening a lot to Ivan Rebroff. What an insane vocal range, who cares if the songs are in another language, some are real earworms that you can't shake.

Was listening to Smiley Smile earlier this morning. Switched over to Disc 2 of the '93 GV30Years box set. Then around lunch I changed things up a bit and put Rock & Roll Over from Kiss on. Currently listening to Frank Zappa's Joe's Garage ('Crew Slut' is the song currently playing). Who knows what I'll throw on later. I might have to mellow out with 'Friends'. On the other hand, if I'm energetic and still feel like working, maybe I'll put on Motorhead's 'Bomber' album. I love my records and CDs...

Downloaded the album "Stuff" by Bill Wyman on ITunes today from the ITunes cards I got today. I listened to it immediately after the download finished. Unfortunately by some distance this is his worst solo album. There's a reason why it was originally issued only in Japan and Argentina, which is what I realized today. The title track is quite good, the best song from this album, though that's not saying much. You can listen to it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWTrJ08IbXEIt's a shame that this album is quite sh*t. I really enjoyed all of his previous albums: Monkey Grip, Stone Alone, and his self-titled album. For Bill Wyman and/or Rolling Stones Completists Only!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKGjv1Y6ZsgThis song is awesome! Though they could have done better than repeating "f*** You Mike Love" throughout the whole song. Still great however

Listening to the everly brothers tonight. AND FINALLY learning the chord progression and lyrics well enough to sing while I play Cryin in the rain seems a shame the Everly thread is relegated to the"other music" section of the board, given Phil's passing and their huge and seminal impact on the Beachboys and the Beatles. JUST SAYIN

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.- Lester Bangs on The Beach Boys PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LISTTo sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.- Jack Rieley

Got Lorde's 'Pure Heroine' album because I really enjoy her two singles, but it's very underwhelming. I'm starting to wonder more and more if current pop stars actually give a sh*t about the albums they release as a whole, or do they concentrate just on the singles? (not that there's anything wrong with singles as your main artistic priority, it's just that I feel a bit foolish buying the album and finding that nothing even comes even close to the singles, quality-wise.)

Garth Brooks: Blame it all on my roots First Aid Kit - the lion's roar Waylon Jennings - Honky Tonk Heroes album Beach Boys - Today (stereo mix) and just realised Dennis' vocal is not double tracked on 'ITBOMM'.... very nice actually! Taylor Swift - Red Beach Boys - Little Deuce Coupe (on the original mono vinyl) nooiice! Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball Elvis - Essential 60's Masters Travis - Where You Stand Shooter Jennings - The Other Life Beach Boys - Sunflower ( bestest album I never tire from ) John Wayne - My America Paul Anka - Rock Swings Django Reinhardt
love music!
