The new Justin Timberlake album, The 20/20 Experience. Odd. No real 'singles', in that the shortest song is just under five minutes long. But it sounds great. Besides the last two tracks, which destroy the flow (last one is all vibe, no song), it's kinda the best you could expect from him having taken 6 years off to become JT, anything but a pop star. It's got a neat 'hey, I'm married and it's the best, I'm in love you guys' vibe to it.

In my experience, hipsters like him. At least the 30-something Minneapolitan ones, which are those with whom I'm most familiar. But yeah, I think it seems pretty obvious to anyone with ears that the guy is really talented and has what it takes to be among the dying breed of old-fashioned pop star. He can sing, he can play, he's good looking, he can act, he can dance. A regular John Stamos.

Kidding.

Kind of.

Flying Lotus' Los Angeles from 2008.

It's cool but I'm having a hard time hearing someone spit over it considering he's supposed to be some kind of hip-hop producer too?

Macca's Kisses On The Bottom. I know, but I've had a few and standards hit the spot right now. I kinda like his light, high delivery on them too.

"Rusty" by Tyler, The Creator featuring Domo Genesis and Earl Sweatshirt, from his upcoming album Wolf. This beat is dope as hell, damn son. Good use of a Throbbing Gristle sample too!

I got my AF Hybrid SACD of Close To The Edge by Yes in the mail this morning. I smoked a doobie and had my mind BLOWN. It was like listening to the album for the first time. Anyone on this board who is into Yes should buy it.

I don't care, this is good stuff.  It's pretty fruity.  I'll admit that.  I don't care though, that dude can sing.

I'm tired of acting like I don't like sh*t like this.  LOL

Sugarhill Gang - Rappers Delight

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6i7kbRmXqk

I like the guy at the end who keeps telling you about what he did at different ages.

And then another guy goes into this long diatribe explaining to you how he ended up dating a reporter, then you find out the reporter was Lois Lane, then you find out he did all that to tell you that he's better than Superman.

Then another guy explains to you that the biggest problem in his life was the time when he went to his friends house for dinner, and the food was really bad, so he got up and ran away from the kitchen table.

Rap used to be so easy to understand.
