New Spiritualized album leaked, so me and my hangover are getting confused by its really confusing production values today.

We are also repeating ourselves  LOL

Dug out the two disc Raspberries thing and blasting that. Fucking amazing band.

And also have finally got round to listening to The Free Design's 'Kites Are Fun'. What a strange little album. I think I love it.

"Pulp Fiction" soundtrack. Love all the songs except Dusty Springfield's performance and Centurions.

How can you not like Son Of A Preacher Man?! That song kicks like a mule! This reminds me, I should listen to Dusty Springfield more. And by more, I possibly mean all day today.

I think the past two full-length albums are by far the group's most interesting and most enjoyable work. Not a review proper, but I wrote about them here:

I noticed that too! By the way, 3 other musicians look a bit tired: seems to me that Mick is/was the only driving force of the band.
yes mick is the silver train lol..he keeps going and going..that boy has a so much charisma! lol

Airhead - Wait/South Congress (single)
Squarepusher - Ufabulum and Estrobia EP
Nicolas Jaar - BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix
James Blake - s/t
Lower Dens - "Brains"
Orcas - s/t
Traxman - The Mind of Traxman

I know it sounds like I'm posting on the wrong board, but keep in mind that I'm also listening to SO MUCH Beach Boys and am getting SO excited about the upcoming Hollywood Bowl show.

After the passing of Robin Gibb, I've decided to rediscover the Bee Gee's late sixties/early seventies catalog and I'm currently enjoying their 1969 double album Odessa, amazing work.

Grin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yVbeD6yCW0 - hilarious video of The Kinks!!! Bravo, Mr. Riks!

Did you check out the one he did for A Well Respected Man? Wow, utterly hysterical. I literally just died from laughter after watching him portray Dave Davies.

Picked up a whole mess of vinyl when i was back home. Have listened to Kate & Anna McGarrigle's debut and Linda Ronstadt's 'Heart Like A Wheel' obsessively today. Mellow LA country rock is right good for illness.
