A co-worker hooked me up with some vinyl to record for him and I was introduced to Old & In The Way; a bluegrass band featuring Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia.  Some real sweet stuff.

Dylan's Bootleg Series Vol. 8. It's kinda cool, just makes me wish I hadn't lost some of the original CDs, though.

Spinning Mark Linkous's band before Sparklehorse, Dancing Hoods, and came across a Beach Boys reference on the track Surfing All Over The World (not surprisingly) from the album 12 Jealous Roses: "cool, cool water.. cool water" sung in the style of the BBs track and repeated twice.  Cool

Now I got a connection between two of my favourite Band, the BBs and Sparklehorse. Never thought that would happen.  Smokin

Oh by the way, the two LPs by the Dancing Hoods are fine late 80s alternative rock - worth checkin' out!

Good idea.  Smiley It's nothing like Sparklehorse, though.
