So I picked up the new John Lennon Letters book (Not much cop, unless you're megaobsessed tbh), and found this...
And all he talks about is hanging with Paul, honestly...

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

what was John's opinion on Mike? I heard that battery story, but is it true? Was Mike as weird in India off-stage as he was onstage here (

The Mike Love in that video, from that era, reminds me of Mr. Natural.

Tbh, no-one knows. VDP claims that when they were hanging out in the 70's, John said that he and Paul both thought he was a twat. But when John & VDP would have been hanging out, they were indulging in Bacchanalian levels of drink and drugs, and this was in the height of the 'American Band' fiasco, so VDP would have had an axe to grind and JL could well have been utterly slaughered. So, who the hell knows?

Unfortunately the photo that the OP posted is a fake. That's not to say John didn't draw a doodle for Mike in '68, he did, and I've attached it below.

"A/S/L"?
"Age:24. That's when Brian Wilson made Pet Sounds. Sex: Brian Wilson was having loads of sex with Marilyn when he made Pet Sounds. Location: Gold Star Studios, where Brian Wilson assembled with the Wrecking Crew to make Pet Sounds. Hbu?"

This is proof that John Lennon was such a powerful figure that he had Microsoft Paint before anyone else.

Don't think it's microsoft paint....wasn't it made on the prototype Apple Mac that Magic Alex was working on. Alex said Lennon doodled with it for a couple of hours, said it's amazing what do you call it ?
Last seen flying down the stairs at Apple Electronics.
