where is 'girl dont tell me'??
Haha. Whoops. Honestly, I don't like that one. Too much of a Beatles rip off. But I guess I should add that in! Thanks Gertie.

1.california girls
2.Let him run wild (great song)
3.Summer means new love (Always loved this one)
4.salt lake city
5.help me rhonda
6.Girl don't tell me
7.you're so good to me
8.amusent park USA (not the best song and sounds more like Jan and dean then the BBs,but not a bad song either, just ok)'
9.then I kissed her (not a fan of remakes but this one is ok)
10.I'm bugged at my old man (Disturbing and funny at the same time)
11.the girl from NY city (an ok song)
12. And your dream comes true (not bad but my least favorite from the album, the grammer kind of bothers me a little, it should be and your dreams come true, not that I'm a grammar nazi but I have a hard time listening to it because of that because i get it stuck in my head)

Masterpiece
California Girls
Let Him Run Wild
Great
Help Me Rhonda
You're So Good To Me
And Your Dream Comes True
Good
Then I Kissed Her
Summer Means New Love (kind of cheesy, though)
Average
Amusement Parks USA (fun melody, despite awful lyrics and banter)
The Girl From New York City
Girl Don't Tell Me (I don't like Carl's vocal on this at all)
Poor
Salt Lake City
I'm Bugged At My Ol' Man

1. Let Him Run Wild - My 2nd favorite Beach Boys song. A stunning, ingenious production (LOVE that backing track), a great Brian vocal and amazing little transitions and chord progressions. Astonishing tune, a real masterpiece.
2. California Girls - Timeless and sublime, despite over-familiarity and the dated lyrics. The track is wonderful and the intro is unbelievable. Pure genius.
3. You're So Good To Me - Always loved this one. Great tune.
4. Summer Means New Love - NICE, quite underrated, one of the best BBs instrumentals. Brian's use of french horn always kills me (see also 'God Only Knows').
5. Help Me Rhonda - The superior version, more exciting and fun.
6. Girl Don't Tell Me - Awesome song, love it.
7. And Your Dream Comes True - Sweet n' short n' a capella. A lullaby to summer.
8. The Girl From New York City - Really terrific tune, kicks ass. Especially Brian's falsetto wails.
9. Salt Lake City - Nifty track, bright and vibrant. Turns a "meh" lyric into a great song.
10. Then I Kissed Her - Okay cover. Much prefer the Crystals' original. Nice though.
11. Amusement Parks USA - Good song. LOVE old school amusement parks, so this is right up my alley.
12. I'm Bugged At My Ol' Man - Funny vocal and pretty silly all around, but still it's totally filler.
One of my very favorite Beach Boys album, second only to Pet Sounds, Today and Sunflower I'd say. Just wonderful.

And wouldn't it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where we belong?

1. California Girls - 347 (12)
2. Help Me, Rhonda - 315 (6)
3. Let Him Run Wild - 298 (12)
4. You're So Good to Me - 246
5. Girl Don't Tell Me - 222 (1)
6. The Girl from New York City - 208
7. Summer Means New Love - 181
8. Then I Kissed Her - 173
9. Salt Lake City - 150
10. And Your Dreams Come True - 141
11. Amusement Parks U.S.A. - 128
12. I'm Bugged at My Ol' Man - 87 (1)
My thoughts? I don't think I'm Bugged at My Ol' Man is the worst song on the album. It is particularly interesting how California Girls and Let Him Run Wild share in first place votes, yet Help Me Rhonda slides between them (which is too high IMO). I suppose Let Him Run Wild is a more polarizing song.
