Which is it folks?!

(Poll to follow .... Have to create retrospectively .... )

Edit: Sorry didn't occur to me that I would need to poll every album. Maybe not such a good idea.

Vote for your 2nd favourite. Thought this might be more interesting and make for more diverse results than the inevitable Pet Sounds heavy results of a #1 poll.

Ironically however, my vote in this poll goes to Pet Sounds. More bad planning on my part.

Crap!  I went and cast my vote without taking Smile into account.  Don't know what I was thinkin'.

Maybe this shoulda been 'The 3rd Best Beach Boys Album'?

I don't think Smile really counts in this context...

"Pet Sounds." My number 1 is "Friends" right now, and sometimes it's "Love You." And sometimes my number 1 is "Pet Sounds." Man, a #1 slot is just kind of inapplicable for me when it comes to this band. It's much easier to rank everything after #1.

Love You is my favorite right now and #2 would be either Surf's Up or Summer Days. Going to vote for the former!

I voted for Sunflower as my 2nd, with Today being my #1.

Voted for Sunflower in the number 2 spot after Pet Sounds.  But that could change any time depending on the mood........

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I think I have a fairly constant top 5 including Pet Sounds, Today, Sunflower, Holland, and the Smile Sessions (or Love You if that doesn't count).  It's oftne changing, but I felt like going for Today! this afternoon.

Friends. It's the second most cohesive, creative, beautiful, and charming BB album behind Pet Sounds.

I really wish I could get into Sunflower, but Got To Know The Woman and Tears In The Morning* are bummers for me - both songs repeat way too many lines.

*Someone recently pointed me towards an alternate version of Tears, and it was incredibly beautiful - wish it had been on the released album!

I reckon I've listened to that record way more that anything else over the past 5-6 months.

I don't think you can count Smile, so I go PS #1, Sunflower 2, Today 3, All Summer Long 4 and Love You #5.

Had the band gotten their act together and completed SMiLE proper back in the 60's, Pet Sounds would have made second place...

This poll should have been Best Album Besides Pet Sounds, not everyone's second favorite.
