Half of a great album. The top 6 tracks on my ranking are just wonderful:

1. The Warmth of the Sun - Astonishing. My #4 favorite Beach Boys song, simply a stunner, brilliant, perfect and beautiful.
2. Fun, Fun, Fun - A true classic. Adore it.
3. Don't Worry Baby - Spectacular. Just incredible. Pretty as a girl on a spring day.
4. Why Do Fools Fall In Love - One of my very favorite covers the band ever did. Exquisite.
5. Keep An Eye On Summer - Underrated and really lovely. Stunning Brian vocal.
6. In The Parkin' Lot - REALLY underrated, I just love this song. The intro/outro bits are great.

7. 'Cassius' Love vs. 'Sonny' Wilson - Doesn't stand up to a lot of listens and it is filler, but I still listen to it every now and then and laugh.
8. Pom Pom Playgirl - Meh.
9. This Car of Mine - Would've been a nicer fit on Little Deuce Coupe, thematically, than the album version of BTTYS. Not terrible.
10. Louie Louie - Eh, no. Total filler.
11. Shut Down Part II - Useless.
12. Denny's Drums - Sorry Denny, but no.

Too much filler!

Wouldn't it be nice if we were older, then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where we belong?

12. "Cassius" Love vs "Sonny" Wilson. Unnecessary, pathetic, doesn't deserve to exist.
11. Denny's Drums. Dennis, while eventually becoming the second-best songwriter of the Beach Boys, never was a great drummer. Just a Filler.
10. Louie, Louie. One of the worst covers the Beach Boys ever did.
9. Pom, Pom Play Girl. Sugary Crap.
8. Fun, Fun, Fun. Out of all the Beach Boy's popular hits, this is the most overrated. Hated this song since I first heard it. Highly unbearable.
7. This Car Of Mine. One of Dennis's weakest songs that he sang in.
6. Shut Down, Part II. Not a big fan of early Beach Boys Instrumentals, but this is all right.
5. Why Do Fools Fall In Love. Not half as good as the original, but the intro is one of the best I've ever heard. Not available on some versions.
4. In The Parkin' Lot. Forgot by most, but highly underrated.
3. Keep An Eye On Summer. Not as strong as no.2 and no.1, but still unforgettable.
2. Don't Worry Baby. Love this, but in my opinion not as good as no.1
1. The Warmth Of The Sun. No Contest, this is one of my all-time favourites.

1. The Warmth of the Sun - 295 (10)
2. Don't Worry Baby - 294 (12)
3. Fun, Fun, Fun - 267 (4)
4. In the Parkin' Lot - 215 (1)
5. Keep An Eye on Summer - 200
6. Why Do Fools Fall in Love - 194
7. Pom Pom Play Girl - 163
8. This Car of Mine - 151
9. Shut Down, Part II - 122
10. Louie, Louie - 82
11. "Cassius" Love vs. "Sonny" Wilson - 73
12. Denny's Drums - 51

My thoughts? The battle for first between The Warmth of the Sun and Don't Worry Baby is tantalizingly close, one that would likely continue to go back and forth with further responses.  No gigantic surprises beyond that, as this is a very top-heavy album.

Very spotty album; a few all-time classics & a few all-time throwaways.

Don't Worry Baby - classic.
The Warmth of The Sun -another classic.
Why Do Fools Fall in Love -man, Brian did SPECTOR better than Spector himself.
Fun, Fun, Fun - this is also classic & fun.

In the Parkin' Lot - intrigued by the title somehow, overwhelmed by the thick chorus. Kinda reminds me of "Knowing When To Leave" by Burt Bacharach
Keep an Eye On Summer
This Car of Mine - Throwaway, but I like it better than I give a credit to.
Pom Pom Play Girl

Shut Down, Part II - The riff being borrowed by Dylan surprised me, because I almost forgot how the song sounded.
Cassius vs. Sonny
Louie, Louie - boring.
Denny's Drums

Spector's Wall is very samey. Brian beat him by leaps & bounds. He created diverse interesting arrangements that differ song to song.
Agree! Cool minds think alike. 3D Check instead Richard Berry. 3D
Yeah. I personally like Spector stuff as much as BB stuff, but in terms of production BB is always better.

Other examples where BB did Spector very well: "Be True To Your School", "Do You Wanna Dance", "In The Back of My Mind", "Let Him Run Wild", "Cabin Essence", "I Can Hear Music", "San Miguel", "Celebrate the News", "Just Once In My Life", "Sherry She Needs Me", to name a few.

I didn't know about Richard Berry. Is he the same person as the one involved in "Louie Louie"? What are his major production/recordings? I'm curious because I'm always intrigued by good production Smiley

He with the Pharaohs sang the original. It's the major hit but check "Somewhere There's A Rainbow", "Sweet Sugar You", "Have Love Will Travel", "You're The Girl". Maybe you'll like these.
Okay, I'll check 'em out. Thanks a lot for recommendation.
